Novel software combines affirmations with silent subliminal technology

By: James ryan

Affirmations are defined as the assertion that something exists or is true. Silent subliminals are spoken subliminal suggestions which are processed in a way that shifts the sound spectrum into a very high frequency range just below the limit of audibility. This has the effect of making these 'silent subliminal' messages inaudible at a conscious level, but the high volume level ensures they are heard and understood subconsciously.
Put both ideas in a jar, ad water and mix. What do we get? A powerful new tool for personal change.
Our mind can either be our best friend or our worst enemy depending on what you feed it. Our minds build beliefs as we grow up. These beliefs form who we are and how we approach and act in our life. “If you were constantly praised, you grew up with confidence. If you were constantly criticized, you grew up feeling powerless. If you were like most of us, you grew up with some praise and some criticism, so you are only partially screwed up.” (C.Gallozzi)
We have two mind states: conscious and subconscious. Our conscious mind keeps us alert. It's the one that prevents us from jumping from a bridge if someone just told us to. The down side is that our conscious mind also blocks many positive and motivating messages. In hypnosis we try to tap into the subconscious mind. We feed it with positive commands and remove fears and blockages. The subconscious accepts commands without questioning them. Once commands are accepted they form part of our rock solid beliefs and our behavior changes. Affirmations serve the same purpose, but have a problem: how to bypass the conscious mind?
That being said, imagine if you could feed your sub-conscious positive affirmations while performing your daily activities on your computer, without being zombied in a hypnosis session. Well, that's exactly what the folks at MindZoom had in mind when they launched their site: www.mindzoom.net
MindZoom Software uses a clever mix of affirmations and subliminal delivering techniques to reach one’s subconscious, and best of all without needing "extra time". So you could say it also mixes in your own time.

Visual subliminal 'programming' by means of short phrases flashed on screen very briefly (technically referred to as tachiscopic presentation) is an increasingly popular form of subliminal suggestion because it does not interfere in any way with other tasks that are being carried out at the same time. The idea is that messages regularly appear on-screen for a very short period (a few tens of milliseconds) - too brief for the conscious mind to read, but long enough for the subconscious mind to pick up the 'afterimage' and absorb the message subliminally.
There is a good body of evidence which supports the effectiveness of this approach for people who spend some time in front of their computers. There are some applications using this theory. However, the author of this software has added a unique twist: in addition to the tachiscopic 'screen flash' system he has also incorporated a 'silent subliminal messaging' function which is not available in any other similar product that I am aware of.
'Silent subliminals' are spoken subliminal suggestions which are processed in a way that shifts the sound spectrum into a very high frequency range just below the limit of audibility. This has the effect of making these 'silent subliminal' messages inaudible at a conscious level, but the high volume level ensures they are heard and understood subconsciously.
Mindzoom's unique delivery of the same subliminal message via two separate senses - sight AND hearing - means that the messages will have much greater subconscious impact than if they were only delivered by just one of these methods.
The combination seems to have great potential, This one is a "should definitely try out" in my book.
