Usually when you are doing work with a garden tractor, you are alone. That is why it is essential that you learn to use garden tractors safely. By employing the following safety tips, you can help to keep yourself and your family safe from any accident, from small to large.

• Keep your garden tractor in optimum condition. Make sure that it is able to do the work that you need it to do.
• Anytime you drive garden tractors, you need to be sure that you use the seat belts. This will help to keep you safely on the tractor.
• If you are doing work on a new patch of land, then you will want to walk out the area to ensure that there is no debris or other problem that can cause you harm when you are driving the garden tractor.
• Stay focused on the work that you are doing at all times.
• Extra riders should not ever ride garden tractors. This is very dangerous.
• Hand brakes should always be used when stopping the tractor to make sure that the tractor does not move due to gravity.

Saving Gas
• Make sure that the garden tractors are in good running condition so that they will use the fuel efficiently.
• Fuel filters should be changed regularly. Service the garden tractors on a regular basis and use fuel additive to help clean the fuel injectors.
• Air filters should be changed or cleaned regularly. This will help to increase the fuel efficiency.
• Never overload the tractor.
