Certain areas of the country, like in the Northeast and Midwest states, have a climate that is prone to extreme changes in weather conditions. These states have four distinct seasons. In certain parts of these areas it is not rare for temps to get below zero and getting into the 80's during the summer. So as you can see with these changes in temperatures it is important to make sure that homes in this area are well insulated. If you are purchasing a new home, it might be a good idea to make sure to upgrade the insulation with the builder. Or if you are already living in a newer home, it would be wise to add insulation to help save money and increase the resale value of your home.
