Everyday we hear more and more about the problems of obesity in our society.  As technology advances our lives become more sedentary.  We no longer have to run out to the well to get our water.  It is now accessible on the front of our refrigerator right next to the glasses in our cupboard.  We no longer have to walk to the store or even worry about balancing our groceries on our bikes for the ride home.  Our meat is slaughtered and prepared by someone else.  Our vegetables and fruits are planted, cultivated and harvested sometimes by someone on the other side of the world. 
 
It is not typically a matter of not wanting to work out and watch our diet but rather an issue of time and convenience.  After we finish our daily brain drain in front of a computer all day and come home our bodies refuse to go any farther.  Our eyes are ready to close and we feel like we physically cannot go any further.  We reach for the nearest food and drink to drive away the hunger and fall into a heap in front of the computer or TV and try to recover so that we can go back tomorrow and do it all over again.  Through all of this our bodies become more tired, we lose more muscle and our diets add on one pound at a time like a bricklayer builds a wall one brick at a time.  However, when the bricklayer is finished he has a work of art or at least a functional wall.  Our bodies have the added ugly fat and deteriorating health.
